Course Overview
AI Literacy Essentials is a structured, online live course designed to equip non-technical professionals, teams, and managers with the foundational skills needed to understand and use AI effectively. Over three weeks of interactive sessions and guided self-study, participants build a shared vocabulary, learn how generative and retrieval systems differ, and practise structured prompting to get higher-quality outputs from tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.
This is not a tool feature walkthrough. The emphasis is on practical comprehension and reliable use - so learners can evaluate models, design basic bots, and make informed decisions about AI in their day-to-day roles. Through hands-on exercises and expert guidance, the course demystifies AI concepts, helps participants avoid common pitfalls, and teaches them how to apply AI responsibly and confidently in real work contexts.
By the end of the course, learners walk away with a grounded understanding of what AI can (and cannot) do, the ability to structure prompts effectively, and the confidence to begin using AI tools meaningfully in their work.
