The room in Glasgow brought together a cross-section of the Aspen Solutions team with a shared aim: to move beyond general AI awareness and start using it deliberately in day-to-day work. Participants arrived with clear questions about how AI could support their own roles, rather than sit alongside them as a separate capability.

Turning everyday work into reusable AI support

The morning focused on individual build work. Participants worked directly inside AI tools to create reusable prompts and personal co-pilot agents based on how they actually operate day to day. Rather than experimenting loosely, each person was pushed to define recurring tasks, preferred outputs, and decision points, and then create prompts and agents that respond consistently, handle familiar work, and reduce the friction of starting from scratch each time.

Moving from individual gains to shared opportunity

In the afternoon, attention shifted from personal workflows to wider opportunity. Small groups explored where similar approaches could be extended across the business through more advanced agents, shared prompt structures, or light-touch automations.

Ideas ranged from changes that could be implemented quickly to concepts that would need further development. What grounded the discussion was that each idea came directly from work the team already understood.

Clear next steps for deeper experimentation

By the end of the day, participants had moved from individual build work to identifying where those patterns could scale. Several of the ideas explored during the session will be developed further next month during Aspen’s upcoming AI Hackathon.
